Black Friday - Profit from the Frenzy

The biggest shopping day of the year is coming in two days, followed by what is usually an equally big day for my sites’ shopping referral revenues, Cyber Monday. I have been working hard this week driving traffic to our Dealighted.com and ResellerRatings.com shopping sites using various low cost high profit ad campaigns such as placement targeted Adwords.

The absolute best way to monetize your shopping/deals/bargains related site, or your tech/electronics related site, is to code yourself a shopping site like shop.resellerratings.com using Shopping.com’s XML based API, and drive traffic to that site using search boxes and product icons like you see at the top of ResellerRatings. Don’t know how to code? No problem. You can get your own ResellerRatings.com branded shopping site (powered by Shopping.com’s pricing data and ResellerRatings.com’s trusted store ratings), in your site’s look and feel, and you’ll receive a generous share of the revenue that the site generates (due to your links and promotion). Here’s an example, TecheBlog.com’s shopping site.

Similarly, you can use Shopping.com’s API to display product price offers directly on your site, and link those offers directly to merchant advertisers, like our “Deals and Real-time Pricing” ad on the right side of ResellerRatings.com. When a user clicks on one of those ads, we earn a cost per click fee.

We offer a way to get this setup on your site today without knowing anything about API’s. We pay publishers a generous monthly fee to run ads like our “Deals & Real-Time Pricing” feature in their sites’ sidebars (see the circled ad in the image at right). Normally this is by invite only, but I’m opening it up to any W Revenue reader who wants to apply.

The advertising fee we pay to put this ad on your site exceeds what you would likely earn from the many shopping ad revshare providers out there. Inquire within if you have a high traffic (Alexa 100,000 or better) shopping/bargain/coupons or tech/consumer electronics site. We can negotiate a fee for the ad and send you a couple lines of code to display it, within 1 day. This way, you won’t miss out on the Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and holiday shopping frenzy that continues into early January.

Deals!

Part of what I do every day is to keep an eye out for great holiday deals, then I market those deals throughout our sites. Plasma TV’s are hotter than ever now and cheaper than ever too. A few years ago I paid about $5,000 for my 50″ Panasonic Plasma (which looks great in 1080i), but you can pick one up for under $1,500 today. These prices were current as of 11/20/2007 10pm:

Panasonic TH-50PX75U 50 in. Television Panasonic TH-50PX75U 50″ Plasma HDTV: $1509

Panasonic TH-50PH9UK 50 in. Plasma Television Panasonic TH-50PH9UK 50″ HDTV Plasma: $1383

Sharp Aquos LC-46D62U 46 in. HDTV LCD Television Sharp Aquos LC-46D62U 46″ 1080P Full HD TV: $1515

Popularity: 23%

Scott,

Speaking of low cost high profit ad campaigns, you might want to set up an advertising campaign with stumbleupon. I just ran across this yesterday. I wrote about it on my blog.

StumbleUpon is Selling Advertising

Hope that’s not too spammy. Just wanted to let you know about it.

Yeah I did try a stumbleupon campaign a while back. I’ll look into that.

Hmm, it seems like a good idea to have a blog about home entertainment so you can feature high ticket price items like these large screen TV’s.

Comparing is the key to a successful business and of course making a profit. But today there are plenty of choices to be made so don’t worry about being compared as you could prove to be the best out of many choices.
